Velvet was tasked with re-launching wheelie bin air freshener Binifresh to the UK media, as the previous PR launch hadn’t delivered coverage.
This was a complex brief on a tight budget – Velvet had to deliver coverage in the consumer, FMCG trade press as well as build a profile for the brand and its founder Daniel Woolman, as he was keen to secure further investment. Velvet over delivered on all fronts.
One of the stand-out pieces of PR worked consisted re-purposing Binifresh internal research which listed what bacteria species lived in wheelie bins. Velvet then re-packaged this data and created a headline grabbing story ‘The plague in your bins’. This research received blanket national coverage, including Mail Online, The Sun, The Daily Express and The Daily Telegraph.
